Autolog began transporting automobiles by truck in 1976. Our initial focus was to provide a truckaway service between the Northeast and Florida for the large seasonal vacationer community. At that time there did not exist a truckaway service to and from Florida.

We proved that consolidating full truck loads would give the consumer an affordable alternative to the auto train and a more reliable alternative to drive-away services.

One effect of establishing this new business was a tremendous buzz created by major publications such as the New York Times and Newsweek.

Soon after Autolog commenced operations we were deluged with requests from individuals, corporations, van line, rent-a-car companies, etc. to transport cars all across the country. In order to handle the large volume of automobiles, we opened up terminals all across the country. At present we have over 100 terminals located in most major cities in the United States. These local stations provide a hub for our trucks as well as local pick-up and delivery system that can take your car from door to door.
