Easterners are familiar with the Auto Train Amtrak operates between Virginia and Florida. It transports thousands of snowbirds and their cars South - and North again, as the seasons change. But there's only one Auto Train, and not all Snowbirds fly to Florida from North Eastern States. How to move the family car south if, for instance, you live in Chicago and don't want to drive to Arizona?

A Company called Autolog, which has more than 90 Terminals across the Country, is in the business of moving private automobiles on the same kind of car-carriers auto manufacturers use. The service usually works out cheaper than driving yourself - basic rate for any car, Chicago to Phoenix is $750 - and its safer than risking your car in the hands of a nonprofessional driver.
